FAQ

1.  What is your shipping policy?

All orders must be placed 3 days in advanced and are shipped out Tuesday's via USPS Priority Mail or Priority Express Mail. If you place an order on Sunday-Tuesday, it will be shipped out the following Tuesday.  

2. How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is automatically calculated via USPS Priority Mail or USPS Priority Express Mail. Shipping cost will vary by weight of package and destination. Please see your cart at checkout.

3. When will my cookies arrive?

1-3 days depending on the shipping option chosen. Please remember that we are bakers, not mail couriers. Please be nice :)

4.  Do you offer local pick-up?

We can arrange pick-up in downtown Chicago and River Forest/Oak Park. Please contact us at info@blackoutbakingco.com to arrange!

5.  Do you offer delivery?

We are happy to provide you a quote using delivery service, Deliv. Please contact us at info@blackoutbakingco.com to arrange!

6.  What if my order comes crushed in the mail?  Do you have some type of guarantee?  

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your order, we will refund the amount in full or send a replacement. We are committed to our customers and making sure you are 100% satisfied. Cookies can be fragile, so slight breakage is expected, but severe broken, crushed, or melted are not. We are more than happy to replace and refund. Contact us if there are any issues!

7.  What are the ingredients in Blackout Baking Co. cookies?

Blackout Baking Co. cookies contain wheat, dairy and eggs. All cookies are baked in a facility that processes peanuts and tree nuts, and may contain trace amounts of nuts. For any other allergies, please contact us before ordering to ensure a safe product.  

8.  Do you have any gluten-free cookies?

Blackout Baking Co. does not have any gluten-free options available at this time. Don't worry, we're working on it! Sign-up to our mailing list for the shout out when we do!

9.  Where is your store?

While we would love for you to visit us we currently do not have a brick and mortar location.

10.  How should I store the cookies once received?

Blackout Baking Co. cookies are best within 10 days. They can be left at room temperature in an airtight container (unless otherwise stated for specific cookies). To make your cookie fix last, cookies can be stored in the refrigerator for 3 weeks and in the freezer for up to 3 months. To thaw, let sit at room temperature for 10 minutes and enjoy!

11.  Do you do custom orders?

We require a minimum of 14 days notice for a custom cookie order. If you are looking to place a custom order, contact us at info@blackoutbakingco.com. If you have any inspiration photos, invitations, a color palette, or any other helpful materials, please feel free to attach them to your email. We will contact you regarding your order in 24-48 hours.

Subscription Info

1. Billing

Subscriptions will be billed on the first of the month for the duration of the subscription selected.

2. Delivery

Initial subscription orders will be mailed out the date selected at checkout. Remaining subscription deliveries will be sent out within the first two weeks of each month. At this time we are unable to accommodate set delivery dates.

3. Changes and Cancellations

Please notify us at info@blackoutbakingco.com by the 25th of the month for any changes to your subscription order. You can cancel anytime without any fees (but why would you want to do that?).
